SINGAPORE – December 2017 –Anacle Systems Limited (“Anacle”) has been selected by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) to provide an end-to-end solution to provide yearly energy efficiency assessment reports and recommendations to improve the efficiency of its three data centres here, totaling 1500 sqm.
This is inline with the Green Data Centre Standard developed by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to help reduce the energy consumption and operating costs of data centres and enhance their competitiveness. IMDA mandates data centres achieve a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 2.1
The Green DC Standard helps organisations establish systems and processes necessary to improve the energy efficiency of their DCs. It provides them with a recognized framework as well as a logical and consistent methodology to achieve continuous improvement in their DC facilities. The standard adopts the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodology, an iterative, four step problem-solving process used for continuous process improvement.
Anacle’s Starlight will be providing the technology in partnership with Schneider Electric IT Business Unit (“Schneider Electric”). Schneider Electric is one of the leaders in energy assessment for data centres in the world, with a team that comprises of local and global experts, as well as engineers accredited in both International and National Data Centre standards, such as the Uptime Institute and ASHRAE to assess every site of data centre and provide a comprehensive report to better energy efficiency and PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness).
